(August 28, 2023, Red Wing, Minn.) – The City of Red Wing would like to inform the public that the following notification has been received from the contractor performing sanitary sewer service work at Park Place Plaza (Southeast corner of Tyler Road South & Hewitt Boulevard).
Tyler Road South Eastbound Closure just east of Hewitt Boulevard
Starting Wednesday, August 30, at 7 p.m., Tyler Road South eastbound will be closed just east of Hewitt Boulevard to allow the contractor to install the sanitary sewer service for Park Place Plaza. The Tyler Road South/Hewitt Boulevard intersection will remain open allowing access to the Hospital and the residential neighborhood to the south. Appropriate traffic control and detour signage will be provided in advance of the work zone.
This work is planned to be completed by 5:30am, Thursday, August 31, with eastbound Tyler Road South traffic reopened utilizing a temporary aggregate patch. This overnight work was planned outside of peak traffic times to minimize impacts to area businesses and residents.
