Hitting the trails is a great way to get outside during the winter. If you’d like to give the skis or snowshoes a break or avoid them altogether, cleared paved trails may be the option for you. Public Works sweeps and/or plows several trails around town, many of them related to the parks and others cleared for students walking to school or their bus stop. These trails are paved surfaces a minimum of six feet wide. This includes Bay Point Park, which is a sidewalk but functions like a trail. Public Works also clears additional trails that community members have requested and City Council has directed them to clear. Here’s a full list of cleared paved trails you can use to get some winter walking in.
