[ARCHIVED] Training Exercise to be Held on He Mni Can – Barn Bluff

(August 25, 2022, Red Wing, Minn.) – The Red Wing Fire Department will be conducting a technical rescue training exercise on Monday, August 29, on He Mni Can – Barn Bluff. 

This training exercise will last from 9 a.m. until early afternoon and will include resources from the Minnesota Aviation Rescue Team. Residents may notice a helicopter over the area for periods of time as part of the training exercise. Hiking trails and climbing areas on the bluff will remain open; however, there may be temporary restrictions to some areas during the exercise. The Colvill Park parking lot may also be used for portions of the training. Should inclement weather be present on the scheduled date, the training may be moved to Tuesday, August 30.
