Immediately following the utility work the contractor plans to begin the grading of the new roadway and installation of the sand/aggregate base. The concrete contractor plans to be onsite on Wednesday this week to pour the new concrete curb and gutter within the intersection of Jefferson. The concrete contractor is scheduled to return to the site next week to pour the new concrete pavement within the intersection and work on filling in all the open areas heading east back towards Jackson Street. The lighting system is continuing to progress with the installation of underground conduits and bases. Additionally, the masonry pillars near the intersection of TH 61 were started this week and should be completed within the next couple of weeks. Lastly, the bituminous paving contractor is expected to be onsite to complete the paving tie in at Washington Street and driveways with goal to fully open to traffic everything that has been paved for the rest of this week and through the weekend.
