Pedestrian Bridge Update:
No update, the pedestrian bridge is open. The final bridge plaza and permanent connection to Old West Main will be completed next year as part of the street reconstruction project.
Old West Main Street Update:
The contractor anticipates another day of regular concrete work to finish the sidewalk at Jackson Street for the season. If weather allows, the goal is to complete this work yet this week; otherwise it will be completed next week. The electrical contractor has completed the installation of all the light pole footings for the season and system is ready to be energized once the actual light poles are installed anticipated sometime after the new year. The bituminous paving for all project tie ins, both permanent and temporary, is scheduled to be completed yet this week; however if delayed due to poor weather, it will be early next week worst case scenario. The roadway striping is planned to be completed early next week. The roadway is scheduled to be permanently reopened by end of next week with remaining construction (trees, benches, bollards, etc.) planned to be completed under traffic next summer as part of the subsequent stages 2-4.
