Pedestrian Bridge Update:

The Contractor finished the electrical installation on the truss bridge (Span 1) this week. The lifting of the truss bridge is on schedule for this coming Tuesday, August 31st, anticipated sometime between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm.

The large crane is scheduled to arrive onsite on Monday, August 30th to setup and be ready for Tuesday. The ornamental railing is on schedule for delivery and installation next week. The trail paving schedule has not been specifically set but is anticipated sometime within the next couple of weeks. The project overall is on track to be complete by the contract completion date of September 30, 2021.

Old West Main Street Update:

The rain impacted the Contractor’s schedule this week. The Contractor was successful in implementing the closure of Old West Main all the way up to TH 61 (Stage 1B) on Tuesday; however, the progress of the new concrete work has been delayed. The Contractor was successful in installation of some of the new curb on Thursday, with one more day of curb work required. The new concrete pavement is expected to take three days to complete and scheduled for mid-next week. The tentative reopening date for Stage 1B, weather and progress dependent, is Friday, September 10th.

Due to the rain, the Contractor was not able to complete any new service work this week and goal is to focus on these first thing next week. Immediately following the completion of the services will be the new storm sewer starting within the Jackson Street intersection and heading east. The schedule shows three more weeks of utilities split between one week of services and two weeks of new storm sewer.
