Pedestrian Bridge Update:

The Contractor has completed the construction of the south abutment body and is currently working on the west and east retaining walls. The Contractor anticipates two more weeks to complete the concrete work in the south abutment/bridge plaza area.
The Contractor successfully set the four concrete beams for Spans 2 and 3 this week. The Contractor over the next few weeks will be working on pouring the concrete deck and curb along these two spans. The steel truss bridge is in final fabrication and is expected to be delivered in late July. The schedule for setting the truss bridge between the South Abutment and Pier 1 (Span 1 over the RR tracks) has been delayed to the middle of August to accommodate the schedule of the large crane Contractor.

Old West Main Street Update

The contracts are fully executed, and Contractor is eager to get started with construction. The preconstruction meeting, with the Contractor, has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 7th and construction is anticipated to start officially on Monday, July 12th. Construction is planned to start within Stage 1 consisting of the two blocks of Old West Main from Washington to TH 61/Main St, with work starting within the intersection of Jackson Street first.
The construction open house has been confirmed for Wednesday, July 7th at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall (315 W 4th St). A formal presentation is planned to start right at 7:00 pm. The open house is intended to focus on the upcoming construction with specific discussion on schedule, staging, business access, and communication plan.
