Pedestrian Bridge Update:

The Contractor has successfully completed the soil correction and is in process of constructing the main body of the south abutment. The Contractor completed the main mass concrete pour earlier this week and is planning to continue construction of the south abutment wing and retaining walls over the next couple of weeks.
The Contractor has successfully completed the pile and footing construction for the north abutment. The Contractor plans to start the wingwall construction early next week. The Contractor is on schedule to set the concrete beams spanning between Pier 1, Pier 2, and the north abutment (Pier 3) by the end of June. The current schedule is showing the setting of the steel truss bridge the first week of August.

Old West Main Street Update

City Council successfully awarded the construction contract to Fitzgerald Excavating and Trucking, Inc on Monday, June 14. Contracts are currently in the process of final execution and City Staff are scheduled to meet with the Contractor next week to discuss construction startup and schedule. Additional details regarding construction start date and the planned construction open house tentatively set for Wednesday, July 7, 2021, will be provided following this meeting.
