[ARCHIVED] Red Wing Police Department Respond to Roll-Over Vehicle Crash

Red Wing, MN:  On September 19, 2018, at approximately 3:33 PM, Officers of the Red Wing Police Department were dispatched to a single vehicle roll-over crash, with the vehicle resting on its roof in a ravine, west of Spring Creek Road, just south of Graves Drive.  Upon arrival RWPD Officer investigated the scene and heard voices coming from the vehicle, the officer immediately contacted dispatch requesting medics.  Further investigation and occupant extrication from the vehicle by Red Wing Fire Department personnel, included a 7-year-old female, 1 ½-year-old male, and a 7-month-old female.  Passengers were all transported via Red Wing Fire Ambulance to the Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Red Wing.  The driver of the vehicle was deceased at the scene and later identified as a 27-year-old Red Wing female; the name is being withheld pending family notification.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation.  

 

The Red Wing Police Department was assisted at the scene by Red Wing Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Goodhue County Social Services and Regional Medical Examiner.
