[ARCHIVED] Red Wing Police and Fire Respond to Roll-Over Vehicle Crash

Red Wing, MN:  On September 19, 2018, at approximately 3:33 PM, Officers of the Red Wing Police Department were dispatched to a single vehicle roll-over crash, with the vehicle resting on its roof in a ravine, west of Spring Creek Road, just south of Graves Drive.  Upon arrival RWPD Officer investigated the scene and heard voices coming from the vehicle, the officer immediately contacted dispatch-requesting Red Wing Fire Department.  

Upon arrival, the fire department assumed command of the incident and after an extended extrication crews removed the occupants from the vehicle included a 7-year-old female, 1 ½-year-old male, and a 7-month-old female.  Passengers were all treated and transported via Red Wing Fire Ambulance to the Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Red Wing.  The driver of the vehicle was deceased at the scene and later identified as a 27-year-old Red Wing female; the name is being withheld pending family notification.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
