Red Wing Police Investigate Shots Fired Call
(Red Wing, Minn.) – On October 11, 2020, at approximately 2:52 a.m., Goodhue County Dispatch received a shots fired call near 300 Block of Seventh Street West. Red Wing Police Department Officers responded to 301 Seventh Street West and recovered numerous shell casings from the eastside of the parking lot. Initial investigation indicates that a white Honda Civic, White Ford Edge, and Black Chevrolet Traverse entered the parking lot and an argument was observed between the occupants of the Ford Edge and Honda Civic. The Honda Civic then exited the parking lot onto Plum Street and allegedly shot toward the Ford Edge. The Ford Edge then left the parking lot, followed by the Chevrolet Traverse. All vehicles left at a high rate of speed southbound on Plum Street toward Hwy 58. No injuries were reported and the event appears to involve the occupants of the two vehicles and not directed at the public.
