Join the conversation! The Human Rights Commission invites Red Wing residents to attend one of two virtual moderated community conversations about race and the book "Waking Up White: And Finding Myself in the Story of Race" by Debby Irving on Thursday, August 20, at 2 p.m. or 6 p.m. 

Both discussions will be facilitated by Dr. Thomas Harris, Assistant Director of the Office of Multicultural Student Services at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse (UWL), and Alyssa Gostonczik, Intern and Employer Relations Coordinator in the Career Services Office at Viterbo University. 

Free copies of "Waking Up White" are available at the Red Wing Public Library and Fair Trade Books Red Wing, but even those who have not read the book are welcome to attend.
