(August 11, 2020, Red Wing, Minn.) – The City of Red Wing would like to inform the public that the following notification has been received from Xcel Energy:

Xcel Energy Gas Main Replacement Project

Xcel Energy, and its contractor Q3C, has begun work on a natural gas replacement project including but not limited to Hawthorne Street, Chestnut Street, Twelfth Street, Norwood Street, Greenwood Street, Sylvan Street, Phelps Street, East Avenue, Spruce Drive, Tee Up Lane, Foursome Street, Southwood Avenue, Maple Street, and  Watson Street.

The gas installation on West Avenue between Watson Street and Maple Street will require traffic flaggers to safely complete this work. On August 13, 2020, traffic flaggers will be present at the intersection of West Avenue and Maple Street during the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to safely complete natural gas installation work. Please follow the direction of traffic flaggers until this work can be completed.
