Memorial Park Gate Repairs Scheduled with Restricted Access
(July 15, 2020, Red Wing, Minn.) – The City of Red Wing Public Works Department would like to notify the public that work will begin on the entrance gates to Memorial Park. This work includes the restoration of the stone including tuck-pointing and gate repairs on both the main entrance off East Seventh Street and the Cow Path Trail entrance off Bush Street.
The Main Gate entrance excavation and demo work will begin on Wednesday, July 22, and is expected to be completed in 3 days. The entrance will be closed to vehicle traffic during this time; however, pedestrian traffic will be permitted.
The Cow Path Trail entrance work will begin on July 15 and is expected to be completed by Friday, July 17, with some additional work occurring Friday, July 24. Pedestrian traffic will be allowed.
The gates will be reopened as soon as the work has been completed. Please be aware that weather delays and unforeseen site conditions may affect the scheduled work.
