NOTICE
FLUSHING MAINS and HYDRANTS

All hydrants and mains in the City of Red Wing will be flushed beginning Monday, May 4, 2020, at 6:00 a.m.

The new Water Treatment Facilities have improved the water quality in the City of Red Wing and as a result, crews will be reducing the hydrant flushing to ONCE this year.  The hydrant flushing is done to maintain water quality, remove accumulated rust from the water mains, and to ensure that the fire hydrants work properly.  Some areas such as dead end streets may be flushed multiple times during the year depending on the specific needs of the area.
