City of Red Wing Solid Waste Campus Resumes Yard Waste and Brush Disposal
only to Red Wing Residents with Limited Hours Beginning Thursday, April 16

(April 14, 2020, Red Wing, Minn.) – The Red Wing City Council has approved a limited resumption of Yard Waste & Brush Disposal services at the Red Wing Waste Campus effective Thursday, April 16, 2020. This resumption of services will apply to Yard Waste & Brush Disposal ONLY. No other materials will be accepted.

Yard Waste & Brush Disposal Hours & Services will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. only.

The following is a listing of measures set forth to ensure the health and well-being of City Staff and the Public:

  • This resumption of services applies to Yard Waste & Brush Disposal Only:
    • No Garbage or Construction & Demolition Material Disposal or Drop-off
    • No Recyclable Material Drop-off
    • No Compost or Wood Chip Loading by City Staff or Residents
    • No Electronics, Appliance, or Furniture Disposal
  • Staff will maintain a 6’ social distancing space between themselves & all customers
  • The CDC has recommended the use of face masks.
  • Staff won’t be allowed to assist customers removing yard waste or brush from the customers’ vehicles or trailers.
  • Barriers will direct customer’s access to yard waste & brush disposal area only.

 This limited expansion of service will continue until May 4, 2020, or such time Council determines that changes will be made.
