Red Wing Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire


(March 31, 2020, Red Wing, Minn.) – On Tuesday, March 31 at 2:09 p.m., the Red Wing Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 3500 block of Skyline Dr. in Red Wing. Red Wing Firefighters arrived on scene in approximately 5 minutes from the time of dispatch. All occupants had evacuated the structure and were accounted for. A small fire was contained to a garbage can in an upstairs bedroom. The incident was placed under control within 6 minutes of arrival. Crews remained on scene for approximately 15 minutes to remove smoke from the residence. The cause of the fire was determined to have been intentional in nature; no further investigation is being completed. 

Red Wing Fire Department units responding to the incident included 1 Chief Officer, 2 Engines, 2 Ambulances, and 1 Ladder Truck. The Red Wing Police Department and Goodhue County Dispatch assisted at the incident.
