The reconstruction of the buildings at the Waste Campus that were lost to fire in June of 2017 continues. 

During the week of August 12 through August 16, 2019 . . .

  • LS Black stripped formwork at North & South Recyclables Ramp and Recyclables Loadout Walls, continued concrete cutting and chipping at the Tipping Floor, and began precast concrete topping and stairs to the Recyclables Loadout.  Poured concrete at stair walls to Recyclables Loadout and grade beams between Grids A-B.  Poured concrete precast 2” topping
  • Bolander onsite backfilling and compacting material to the foundation walls.  Began demolishing asphalt at the north side and partial west side for site utilities. 
  • Ironworkers continued detailing the wall to roof connection piece at Recyclables Loadout, and installed banding on the roof purlins to prepare for insulation and roof installation.  Installed roof panels on the lower roof from Grids .55 to 2.  Detailed out SE corner jambs and openings.
  • Ryan Mechanical hauled sand to infill waste traps.
  • Advance Saw continued cutting concrete curbs at OHD openings
  • Concrete Dynamic began grinding Tipping Floor
  • City locates were onsite and began routing/planning some stormwater lines.


A reminder to our customers and visitors – the construction zone is located in areas of the Waste Campus that have been typically accessible to customers.  Signs have been installed to provide direction.  All customers and visitors are asked to stop in the office before proceeding further into the Campus.
