On Wednesday August 7, 2019, at 18:02 the Red Wing Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in the Engine Compartment on a Boat on the “J” Dock at the Ole Miss Marina in Red Wing, MN. The Red Wing Fire Department arrived on scene at 18:07. Upon arrival there was a large 42-foot boat with fire and smoke coming from the boat. All of the occupants were out of the boat upon arrival. Once on shore, overhaul was completed. A primary search was completed with no findings. There were two adjacent boats that had minor fire damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The scene was turned over to the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office.
