East & West Avenues Update
Due to slower than anticipated work on other parts of the project, we are now not anticipating work occurring on East or West Avenues until after River City Days are complete. Right now, the schedule looks like the work on East and West Avenues (along with West Third, Fourth, and Fifth Streets) will occur beginning the week of August 5.
Maple Street Update
Work on Maple Street has been progressing this week. The contractor is in the process of removing the pedestrian ramps on the south side of Maple Street between West Avenue and Vera Avenue and should be finished with the removals by tomorrow. The concrete crew began pouring curb today and will be continuing to pour curbs and sidewalks until the middle of next week.
Work on the pedestrian ramps on the north side of Maple Street will not begin until late next week (after the south side sidewalk is reopened).
Milling and paving work is still anticipated in the middle or end of August.
Guernsey Lane, Goodhue Street S & Eagle Ridge Drive Update
Work will be starting soon on the 2019 Mill & Overlay project in the Guernsey Lane, Goodhue Street South, and Eagle Ridge Drive area. The contractor will be starting removals for pedestrian ramp work on Eagle Ridge Drive and Guernsey Lane early next week. The concrete crew will likely follow behind to start pouring curbs and sidewalks in the middle or late part of next week. Each street will remain open during this work; however, parking may be restricted in certain locations to facilitate construction activities.
Milling and paving work for this area is not anticipated until the middle of August at this time.
