Red Wing Fire Department Incident Number 192028

On July 9, 2019, at 18:32, the Red Wing Fire Department responded to a report of a Structure Fire at 1003 Cottonwood Ave in Red Wing. The Red Wing Fire Department arrived on scene at 18:37. Upon arrival, there was a one-story mobile house trailer with smoke and fire showing. All of the occupants were out of the residence. The Fire Department established command and started to extinguish the fire. A search of the residence was completed and no findings found. The fire was under control within 15 minutes after arrival. One dog and three cats were rescued. The fire was contained to the unit of origin. The house was left uninhabitable. Utilities were shut off. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Red Wing Fire Department responded to the scene with four Fire Engines, two Ambulances, one Ladder Truck, one Command Officer, and one Fire Marshall. There was a total of 18 firefighters on scene. Red Wing Fire Department was assisted on scene by Red Wing Police Department, Goodhue County Dispatch, Red Wing Public Works Water Department, Excel Energy, and the Red Cross.
