(April 30, 2019, Red Wing, Minn.) – The City of Red Wing would like to notify the public that on Wednesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 2, Buchanan Street will be closed between Fifth and Sixth Streets for the repair of a private water service. The work is being done by a private contractor and plumber. There will also be no alley access to Buchanan Street at the point of closure. A detour will be in place.
Please be aware that weather delays, and unforeseen conditions may affect the scheduled work. The project is expected to take approximately 2 days with the road reopened as soon as the work is completed.
We appreciate the cooperation and patience of neighbors, drivers and pedestrians during this time of inconvenience. Motorists are encouraged to stay alert and drive carefully through all work zones. Thank you in advance for your patience!
