Red Wing Police Respond to an Assault Call

Red Wing, MN – On April 10, 2019, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Goodhue County Dispatch received a call from Jack Kusnierek, at 120 East 5th Street, stating that he was shot. Officers arrived on scene and made sure the house was safe for paramedics to enter. Mr. Kusnierek was located in the residence by officers and transported by Red Wing Fire Department Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Red Wing. Initial investigation indicates that there is no expected threat or danger to the general public. 

The Red Wing Police Department was assisted by the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and the Red Wing Fire Department. No further information is available as the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Red Wing Police Department at 651-385-3155. Anonymous tips can be reported to Crime Stoppers of Minnesota via their website or by calling the TIP LINE at 1-800- 222-8477 (TIPS). Information submitted through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
