The Fraternal Order of Police is an organization of sworn law enforcement officers in the United States. Twenty-one law enforcement officers met on May 15, 1915, establishing the first Fraternal Order of Police lodge in the nation. There is currently a membership of over 325,000 members for 2,100 local chapters and organized into local lodges, state lodges, and the National Grand Lodge.
The Fraternal Order of Police in Minnesota was chartered in 1991. Minnesota currently has approximately 2,100 members in 22 lodges throughout the state. Fraternal Order of Police Riverview Lodge 7 is made up of Goodhue County Law Enforcement officers and presently there are 57 members.
