    This is a seven-member board appointed by the Mayor to act as the City of Red Wing's primary agency for housing and redevelopment activities. The HRA administers and manages public housing properties and programs assisting families; administers Housing and Urban Development rental assistance programs; assists redevelopment projects and plans; and also administers a variety of housing and commercial loan programs.

  2. Arts and Culture Commission Meeting

    The Arts and Culture Commission will advise the City Council concerning Arts and Culture policies, public projects, issues and initiatives and will be a fierce advocate for Arts and Culture in Red Wing. The Commission will work to ensure an inclusive and cross-cultural environment to help build community. The Commission shall work to further the city's Arts and Culture vision statement: Red Wing thrives as a creative regional arts and culture hub where everyone can participate.

  3. Canvassing Meeting

    August 14, 2020, 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM @ Meeting held virtually via WebEx.

    The City Council must meet by law to canvass the Primary Election results on the 2nd or 3rd day after the Primary Election. The Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 11 , 2020. Council is asked to meet as the Canvassing Board during the afternoon on Friday, August 14, 2020. Final numbers from Goodhue County will not be available until Thursday evening, so the canvassing meeting is held in the afternoon on August 14 to allow for preparation of meeting documents. The meeting will occur virtually via WebEx.

  9. Human Rights Commission Workshop

    Acknowledging the universal concept of human rights, the mission of the Human Rights Commission is to ensure that ALL Red Wing residents may participate equally and fully in the human experience. The City will work to extend these rights to economic opportunity, safe and affordable housing, and quality education at all levels to create a safe and supportive community environment. This involves actively working to assure all City policies and practices do not discriminate on any basis, including immigrant or refugee status. The Human Rights Commission holds regular meetings on the fourth Thursday of each odd month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 315 West 4th Street. Workshops are held on the fourth Thursday of each even month at 6:00 pm in the Mississippi River Room at City Hall.
