Red Wing, MN –Sheldon Theatre will light up the night with Burning Down The House/Rise From The Ashes running October 15, 16, and 17. WARNING: Display Contains Realistic Fire.
Rise From The Ashes will be on the second-floor Mezzanine, displaying rarely seen photos and artifacts of the past 116 years. Free reservations are 30 minutes and begin at 6:30 pm each evening. This display accompanies Burning Down The House, a 10-minute exterior projection show by theatrical lighting designers Karin Olson and Michael Murnane that starts on the half-hour from 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm.
“The Sheldon has a dramatic history, and the drama hasn't always been confined to the stage. It has survived fires, explosions, intrigue, and more than one pandemic,” says Interim Executive Director, Jeff Larson. “Since we can't have performers in the theater, we think it's the perfect time for the Sheldon to be the star of its own story."
Both events are free to the public. The Sheldon will start taking reservations for the Mezzanine display beginning Monday, October 5. Each 30-minute session will be limited to 16 people to allow for social distancing. Visit SheldonTheatre.org/events or call 651-388-8700 Wed - Fri (1p - 5p) or Sat (10a - 2p) for full details. The exterior projection show does not require reservations. Contact Brenda Stewart for more information.
