Red Wing Fire Department Responds to a Structure Fire
(June 8, Red Wing, MN.) – At 11:47 p.m., the Red Wing Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 2265 Hallquist Ave. It was reported that there was a house on fire and that there were “a lot of flames.” Red Wing Fire Department responded with Engine 2, Engine 3, Medic 11, Ladder 1, Engine 1, and twelve firefighters.
The first in units arrived on scene within 5 minutes to find a moderate amount of fire on the exterior of the structure. Crews performed a primary search of the structure and extinguished the fire within the first few minutes after arrival. Crews spent approximately the next hour performing salvage and overhaul before returning to service. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
